Were you to list all you desire in a garden, the Clements-Keels garden certainly would check many of the boxes. This generous, cul-de-sac garden began in 1985. The owners’ harmonious vision of a contemporary family retreat begins at the balanced curve of the driveway, which defines a pine forest brightened by dogwood and viburnum, its edges punctuated by boxwood and ferns.
The gated garden opens, revealing a wonderland. The raised vegetable garden pays tribute to their gardening lineage, recreating memories of their parents and feeding both body and soul. An herb garden and vine teepee add scent, charm, and pollinator habitat.
Arrayed before you the delights unfold: colorful flowering beds, shimmering swimming pool, trickling water feature, ample stone patio, wooden deck, and summer kitchen. Hardscape elements are softened by turf and accented by specimen trees, rose garden, perennials, ornamental grasses, and pots, all in proportion. An exuberant bronze fountain features frolicking river otters, contrasting with nature’s beauty in the bald cypress nearby. Escape the sunshine, strolling the path through the woodland garden and pass over a rock bridge. You may even hope for rain to experience the natural waterfalls in the rain garden. Be revitalized and renewed. Therapy by nature is this garden’s purpose.
